In the tavern, pints pour with cheer,
As duty drops, bringing prices near.
A mere penny saved on each drink,
Yet some say it's not enough, we think.
Critics argue it's just a show,
A penny here, where does it go?
But for the drinkers in the pub's embrace,
A cheaper pint puts a smile on their face.
The barmaid pours with a merry glow,
As ale flows and patrons' spirits grow.
A penny less, a toast to the new rate,
In the cozy pub, they celebrate.
