In Arkansas, twenty years have flown by,
Letters sent home, an attempt to comply,
Flagging BMI, a noble cause they set,
But childhood obesity, it did not forget.

Despite the letters and the worry,
The scales did not tip in a hurry,
Obesity continued on its rise,
Leaving many with heavy sighs.

Two decades of tracking this way,
Yet the children in Arkansas play,
Obesity's grip seems not to wane,
As the letters bring heartache and pain.
