In the homes where lead pipes reside,
Debate flares nationwide, far and wide.
Biden's plan to replace,
But Trump's not in that race,
The deadline is a rollercoaster ride.

Should we yank out the pipes with haste?
Or leave them, no energy to waste?
The EPA must choose,
Bringing joy or the blues,
In this water supply tasting like paste.

Lead pipes, a concern for us all,
A problem both big and quite small.
Will they be swapped out soon?
Or will we hum a sad tune?
Let's hope for safe water to fall.
